Note: An owner must be a PCES-level manager or higher.
This policy provides formally documented management expectations and intentions.
The purpose of the Postal Service Enterprise Architecture (EA) Policy is to ensure that Postal Service information resources and information technologies are fully and properly used in support of Postal Service business strategies and processes in order to achieve its business goals.
This policy applies to all Postal Service employees and contracted vendors engaged in the development, maintenance, acquisition, upgrade, or enhancement of technology solutions.
All Postal Service Information Technology solutions that will use new hardware or software technologies not currently approved by Information Technology EAC, or is to develop a total new business technology solution, must be approved by the Enterprise Architecture Committee (EAC) in accordance with the EAC review process.
