WASHINGTON — Think the odds are remote for finding a holiday gift to please individuals having interests ranging from antique paintings to military history to hot rods to Batman? It’s a safe bet the Postal Service can help you as it delivers the 2014 Stamp Yearbook. And for the first time in the yearbook’s history, three new stamps are included exclusively with this year’s edition.

“Our stamp program is a gallery of small works of art that portray the American experience,” said Acting Stamp Services Director Cindy Tackett. “And the beauty of the yearbook is that it was created to appeal to everyone — especially non-traditional stamp collectors. The yearbook chronicles the backstory of those moments and people that define American culture. It appeals to everyone’s interests — ranging from the War of 1812 to Janis Joplin.”

The 72-page hardcover yearbook is filled with beautiful imagery, fascinating stories and placeholders throughout the pages for mounting and preserving the stamps.

The intricately die-cut-to-shape Circus Souvenir Sheet, featuring engraving and gold-foil embossing and exclusive only with the yearbook, features a $1 stamp showing an alternate version of the iconic clown poster featured on the 2014 Vintage Circus Posters pane and two 50¢ Circus Wagon 1900s stamps.

Available for $64.95, the 2014 Stamp Yearbook includes a total of 90 stamps plus mounting materials. The 2014 Yearbook and Mail Use Packets also are available with 90 stamps from the collectible program and 50 mail use and 5 high value stamps plus mounting materials for $130.85. Permission to include the Jimi Hendrix Forever stamp issued in 2014 as part of the Music Icons series could not be obtained before going to press. In addition to being available online, customers may order the Yearbook at 1-800-STAMP24 (1-800-782-6724) and by mail.
