California

The California Bay Valley area remains in recovery phase following a 6.1 earthquake that hit the area Aug 23. The Postal Service is committed to ensuring that delivery and retail service remain intact.

Napa Mail Post Office:  Retail and PO Box customers will continue to be served at the Napa Main Post Office, 1625 Trancas Street, Napa, CA 94558. There is a mobile unit on site to provide postal services. Caller service hours for PO Box customers are from 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Photo ID required.  Napa Main Post Office customers who put in a “Vacation Hold” are cautioned that their mail will not be released until the re-deliver date because vacation-hold mail will be kept at the leased building on Napa Valley Corporate Drive.

In Napa, Napa-Franklin Post Office:  PO Box customers from the Franklin Post Office, 1351 2nd Street, 94559 will continue to pick up their mail at the Wine Valley Post Office, 820 Randolph Street, Napa CA 94559. PO Box Will-Call hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PO Box customers must provide photo ID.

As a result of a water main break at the El Segundo Post Office, operations have been suspended until repairs are completed. Customers may retrieve their notice left mail, PO Box and Caller Service at the Manhattan Beach Post Office, located at 1007 N Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. BMEU Operations are relocated to Redondo Beach Post Office, 1201 N Catalina Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.

Missouri

Kansas City, MO – The Postal Service continues to rebuild following tornado damage. Customers whose homes or businesses were destroyed or severely damaged by the storms and tornadoes in southwest Missouri may continue to can pick up their mail at the Baxter Springs, MO Post Office, located at 1115 Park Ave. Baxter Springs Post Office hours are 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The tornado resulted in 218 damaged homes, 56 destroyed, and 35 are re-building. Customers are encouraged to complete a temporary Change of Address request, in-person at the Baxter Springs Post Office, or online at usps.com.

The Postal Service is recovering from damage caused by wildfires in the Seattle region. While most offices have resumed service, five offices remain without power. As a result, service has been impacted in the following areas.

Delivery will be attempted in areas where the roads are passable and where it remains safe to do so. Customers unable to receive mail delivery may visit the Wenatchee Post Office to retrieve their mail.

Arlington, WA — Due to road closures and emergency conditions following the mudslide that hit Oso and State Highway 530 on March 22, customers who receive home delivery in Oso may retrieve mail at the Darrington Post Office located at 715 Givens Avenue, Darrington, WA, 98241. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Customers must bring appropriate ID.

Columbia Station, 44028 – Plum Creek Dr is flooded, resulting in 25 street deliveries not being made. All deliveries will be made tomorrow if the flood water recedes.

Kelleys Island PO, 43438 – Delivery service is impacted do to weather related flooding.

Wisconsin

The area around Webster is experiencing flooding and road closures. The Postal Service will continue to deliver mail where it remains safe to do so.

The Postal Service is experiencing delivery impacts in the Chippewa Falls area due to construction near Main Street and Rural Street.Normal delivery services is expected to resume within two weeks.

Main Street – Temporary boxes have been set up for customers.
Rural Street – Customers may pick up their mail at the Chippewa Falls Post Office, located at 315 N Bridge St., Chippewa Falls, WI.

South Dakota

Delivery service may be impacted in the South Dakota area. Heavy rains have caused flooding in SE South Dakota and NW Iowa, resulting in road closures south and east of Sioux Falls, going into Iowa. Deliveries will be attempted where homes remain accessible.

Mellette, SD, 57461 - Operations at the Mellette Post Office 57461 have been suspended due to structural issues making it unsafe for customers and employees. Customers of the Mellette Post Office will be able to receive PO Box and retail service at the Northville PO located at 306 W Elm Street, Northville, SD, 57465-9998. Hours at Northville are Monday – Friday 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. and Sat. 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Mellette customers can pick up their mail as early as 7:20 a.m.

Arkansas

Delivery service has been impacted in the Little Rock, AR, area due to severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. However, deliveries will be attempted where it remains safe to do so. The Postal Service has established mail pickup service for those who lost their homes or are unable to return to their homes or businesses. Customers who are unable to receive delivery service may visit their local Post Office to retrieve mail. Impacted offices are noted below. Proper ID is required for customers who are accommodated with pickup service.”

El Paso PO The Post Office is open today. Carriers will deliver mail where it is safe to do so. Mail for locations that can’t be delivered safely can be picked up at the Post Office with proper ID. The Post Office is located at 3092 Highway 5 and is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-12 noon and 2 to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30-10:30 a.m.

Mayflower PO The Post Office is open today with general delivery for customers to pick up mail with proper ID. The Post Office is located at 8 Ashmore Drive and is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

Roland PO The Post Office is open today. Carriers will deliver mail in locations where it is safe to do so. Mail for locations that can’t be delivered safely can be picked up at the Post Office with proper ID. The Post Office is located at 21111 Cribbs Street and is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1-3:45 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Widener PO Customers in ZIP Code 72394 may experience a disruption to delivery service as a result of heavy rain. Roads have been damaged making them impassable. Customers who are unable to receive delivery service may retrieve mail from their local Post Office.

San Diego wildfires

Despite the fires that are burning in several communities in San Diego County, U.S, Postal Service letter carriers are continuing to deliver mail wherever it is safe to do so as determined by fire authorities.

For customers of La Costa Post Office in Carlsbad, San Marcos Post Office, and Escondido Post Office who are not able to access their homes or business due to road closures or fire damage, their mail will be available for pick up with proper photo ID at their respective Post Office.
