Cranwood PO, 44128 – Regular operations have resumed following flooding at the Cranwood Post Office.  No further updates will be posted.

Northridge PO, 45414 – Facility experienced structural damage resulting from a car being driven into the building.


Beaverdale PO, 15921 – Regular operations have resumed.  No further updates will be posted.

New Jersey

Carlstadt, NJ 07072 – As a result of an early morning fire, service has been suspended at the Carlstadt Post Office at 331 First Avenue. Postal retail operations, including the Post Office Boxes and mail pick-up, are being transferred to the Post Office at 193 Park Avenue in East Rutherford NJ. Carlstadt Post Office Box mail will be available at 11 a.m. today in East Rutherford. Mail delivery to street addresses in Carlstadt remains unaffected.

Retail business hours at the East Rutherford Post Office are: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. and on Saturdays 8:30 a.m–Noon.

Carlstadt customers with questions about service can contact the USPS Northern New Jersey District Consumer & Industry Contact office at 732-819-3260.

No timetable has been established for service to resume at this location. Please check back for updates.


El Segundo Post Office, 90245– As a result of a water main break at the El Segundo Post Office, operations have been suspended until repairs are completed. Customers may retrieve their notice left mail, PO Box and Caller Service at the Manhattan Beach Post Office, located at 1007 N Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. BMEU Operations are relocated to Redondo Beach Post Office, 1201 N Catalina Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.

Repairs are expected to take between 3–9 months; with an expectation of re-opening between May and Nov. 2014. Please check back for updates.

New York

Baychester P.O. 10469 – Retail operations have temporarily been suspended at the Baychester P.O., resulting from the Con Edison - NY Power utility company shutting down power in the area to fix an underground problem. Power should be restored before Apr. 9.

James A. Farley Post Office, 10001 — Partial service has resumed following a temporary disruption due to an underground fire on April. 2. The 380 lobby on the 33rd Street side, 9th Avenue, is open to customers. The main lobby remains closed until power is restored.

Full operations are expected to resume before the end of the day. Please check back for updates.


Arlington, WA — Due to road closures and emergency conditions following the mudslide that hit Oso and State Highway 530 on March 22, customers who receive home delivery in Oso may retrieve mail at the Darrington Post Office located at 715 Givens Avenue, Darrington, WA, 98241. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Customers must bring appropriate ID.

Due to structural damage as a result of falling debris from an adjacent building, all PO Box delivery and retail operations have been temporarily suspended at the Lula Post Office. Customers may obtain their mail at the Clarksdale Post Office, located at 236 Sharkey Ave, Clarksdale, MS 38614. Clarksdale Post Office hours of operation are Mon–Fri from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m, and Saturday from 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

New Jersey

Operations have been suspended at the West Englewood Post Office as a result of structural damage to a roof support beam. Operations have been transferred to Teaneck Main Post Office.

West Englewood PO, 07666 – Customers are being serviced out of the Teaneck Main Post Office, located at 751 Palisade Ave, Teaneck, NJ, 07666.

Oklahoma tornadoes

As the clean-up effort continues in the Moore, OK, area, the Postal Service is continuing to update service for customers in the 73160, 73153, and 73170 ZIP Codes.

Poteau – No Power


A number of Post Offices have been impacted by the widespread flooding and road closures. The Postal Service has relocated postal services for a number of facilities and addresses. Delivery will be made as long as roads remain open, passable and safe. If a home has been impacted by floodwaters and the resident needs mail to go to a temporary address, fill out a change of address at or pick up a form at any Post Office.
