Carrboro Post Office, 27510 – Operations temporarily suspended due to winter weather conditions.

Winston Salem Post Office, 27105 – Operations temporarily suspended due to winter weather conditions.

New York

Hensonville Post Office 12439 – Operations Relocated to Windham Post Office due roof damage:  In the interest of public and employee safety, customer service and delivery operations are being temporarily relocated from the Hensonville Post Office at 395 State Route 296 to the nearby Windham Post Office at 5365 State Route 23.  Mail delivery to all street addresses remains unaffected.  

Postal retail services are available at the nearby Windham Post Office approximately 2.6 miles away. Hensonville Post Office Box customers can pick-up their mail at the Windham Post Office during regular business hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Photo identification is required for Post Office Box mail pick-up.

Sutton Post Office 01590 – Effective Feb. 19, 2015, the Sutton MA Post Office will be closed due to the threat of a roof collapse.  Operations will temporarily be relocated to the Uxbridge, MA Post Office at 287 Millville Rd, Uxbridge MA 01569.

Adamsville PO 16110 – All operations at the Adamsville PO have been suspended. The facility was completely destroyed by fire. Customers may visit the Hartstown PO for retail and P.O. Box service. Hartstown PO is located at 6768 Center St, Hartstown, PA 16131.

Due to a fire at adjacent building, retail and PO Box services have been temporarily suspended at the Freeland Post Office, 18224. The Post Office didn’t suffer smoke or water damage, but local authorities issued an evacuation notice in case the adjacent building collapsed. All operations have been temporarily relocated to the Hazleton Post Office at 231 N Wyoming St., Hazleton, PA, 18201-9996.


As a result of a fire in the lobby of the Centerview Post Office 64019, service is temporarily suspended. Please check back for updates.

The Barstow PO 79719 - has temporarily suspended operations follow a fire in the facility. Operations have temporarily been relocated to the Pecos PO, 79772.

The Whitehall Carrier Annex, 43213 - sustained damage following a fire at the facility after hours. Customers may pick up their hold mail/parcels at the from the finance unit located at 3250 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213.

The Ralston PO, 51459 - suffered substantial damage following a fire. P.O. Box and Retail service will be provided at Scranton PO 51462, located at 1020 Main St, Scranton IA 51462.

Lyons Post Office 52732 - Due to structural damage resulting from the building being struck during construction to an adjacent building, the Lyons Post Office has temporarily relocated operations to the Clinton Main Post Office located at 300 South 1st St, Clinton, IA. P.O. Boxes customers will be serviced in the vacant lot of the Lyons Post Office. Customer will need to show ID to retrieve their mail.

The Pilger PO was destroyed by a tornado. Temporary cluster box units have been installed adjacent to the Pilger Library to provide delivery service to Pilger residents. Request for stamps can be made using the drop box located at the cluster box unit. The stamps will be delivered by the carrier. For all other service, customers can visit the Stanton PO located at 1018 Ivy St., Stanton NE 68779.

California PO, 41007


The California Bay Valley area remains in recovery phase following a 6.1 earthquake that hit the area Aug 23. The Postal Service is committed to ensuring that delivery and retail service remain intact.

Napa Mail Post Office - Retail and PO Box customers will continue to be served at the Napa Main Post Office, 1625 Trancas Street, Napa, CA 94558. There is a mobile unit on site to provide postal services. Caller service hours for PO Box customers are from 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Photo ID required. Napa Main Post Office customers who put in a “Vacation Hold” are cautioned that their mail will not be released until the re-deliver date because vacation-hold mail will be kept at the leased building on Napa Valley Corporate Drive.

In Napa, Napa-Franklin Post Office - PO Box customers from the Franklin Post Office, 1351 2nd Street, 94559 will continue to pick up their mail at the Wine Valley Post Office, 820 Randolph Street, Napa CA 94559. PO Box Will-Call hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PO Box customers must provide photo ID.

El Segundo Post Office, 90245– As a result of a water main break at the El Segundo Post Office, operations have been suspended until repairs are completed. Customers may retrieve their notice left mail, PO Box and Caller Service at the Manhattan Beach Post Office, located at 1007 N Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. BMEU Operations are relocated to Redondo Beach Post Office, 1201 N Catalina Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.

Repairs are expected to take between 3–9 months; with an expectation of re-opening between May and Nov. 2014. Please check back for updates.

South Dakota

Mellette, SD, 57461 - Operations at the Mellette Post Office 57461 have been suspended due to structural issues making it unsafe for customers and employees. Customers of the Mellette Post Office will be able to receive PO Box and retail service at the Northville PO located at 306 W Elm Street, Northville, SD, 57465-9998. Hours at Northville are Monday – Friday 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. and Sat. 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Mellette customers can pick up their mail as early as 7:20 a.m.

New Jersey

Carlstadt, NJ 07072 – As a result of an early morning fire, service has been suspended at the Carlstadt Post Office at 331 First Avenue. Postal retail operations, including the Post Office Boxes and mail pick-up, are being transferred to the Post Office at 193 Park Avenue in East Rutherford NJ. Carlstadt Post Office Box mail will be available at 11 a.m. today in East Rutherford. Mail delivery to street addresses in Carlstadt remains unaffected.

Retail business hours at the East Rutherford Post Office are: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. and on Saturdays 8:30 a.m–Noon.

Due to structural damage as a result of falling debris from an adjacent building, all PO Box delivery and retail operations have been temporarily suspended at the Lula Post Office. Customers may obtain their mail at the Clarksdale Post Office, located at 236 Sharkey Ave, Clarksdale, MS 38614. Clarksdale Post Office hours of operation are Mon–Fri from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m, and Saturday from 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
