Joelle Zamora-Clausen Named Postmaster of San Mateo

SAN MATEO, CA — Manager of Post Office Operations Lito Sajonas announced the selection of Joelle Zamora-Clausen as the new postmaster of San Mateo. Zamora-Clausen succeeds Postmaster Bob Reed who recently retired.

“I am really happy to have been selected as postmaster in San Mateo,” Zamora-Clausen said. “It is a wonderful city and I look forward to providing great service to not only the community, but also the employees of the San Mateo Post Office.”

Zamora-Clausen began her postal career 28 years ago as a clerk in Denver, CO. In 1985, while still in Denver; she joined the management ranks and held several key operating positions. In 2006, she was promoted to manager of human resources in Spokane, WA, where she led the group as the number one human resources department in the country. Zamora-Clausen later moved to the Santa Ana District in Southern California, where she became postmaster of Garden Grove, served as the acting postmaster in Long Beach and most recently, manager of post office operations.

Zamora-Clausen earned a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and accounting from Metropolitan State College in Denver and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado.
