Postal Services to Napa and Vallejo Remain After Earthquake

Alternate Locations for Customers in Place

NAPA, CA — As a result of the 6.0 earthquake early Sunday morning, U.S. Postal Service officials in the Bay-Valley Postal District gathered quickly in a command center to put contingency services and locations in place in time for customers Monday morning.

In Vallejo, Station A, 1015 Amador Street, 94590 and the Main Office, 485 Santa Clara Street, 94590, customers and PO Box customers will be served at the Springstown Post Office, 100 Admiral Callaghan LN, Vallejo, CA 94591. Full retail operations are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PO Box customers must provide photo ID to pick up their mail.

In Napa, Franklin Post Office, 1351 2nd Street, 94559, customers and PO Box customers will be served at the Wine Valley Post Office, 820 Randolph Street, Napa CA 94559. The hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PO Box customers must provide photo ID.

Napa Main Post Office, 1625 Trancas Street, Napa, CA 94558 will have caller service pick up for PO Box customers in the rear parking lot from 10:30 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. Photo ID required.

Signage at all affected Post Offices are posted to direct customers to alternate locations. Customers can go to usps.com for information on alternative access points more convenient for them.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
