Bixby Station loses lease, Post Office Box service relocates Feb. 13

LONG BEACH, CA — The U.S. Postal Service has lost its lease at Bixby Station, 4580 Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach and is being forced to relocate.

An emergency relocation of Post Office Box service will be made to North Long Beach Station, 101 E. Market Street. This move is a temporary solution to provide uninterrupted service while a search for a permanent location takes place. Post Office Box numbers and ZIP Codes will not change.

The last day of service at Bixby Station’s current location will be Friday, Feb.13, 2015, when the Post Office closes at 12 p.m. Post Offices Boxes will be relocated to North Long Beach Station over the Presidents’ Day weekend and service will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9:00 a.m. All Bixby Station Post Office Box customers have been notified directly by mail.

M-F: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The U.S. Postal Service does not receive tax dollars to fund its operations and facilities.
