Postal Service delays delivery of mail to fire-affected areas

CONIFER, CO — Due to road closures and emergency conditions as a result of the Northern Fork Fire, the Postal Service was unable to make deliveries to approximately 300 postal customers.

On Tuesday, no deliveries were made to the following streets or neighborhoods out of Conifer:

  • Black Bear Lane
  • Black Bear Trail
  • Broken Arrow
  • Cathedral Trail
  • Conifer Meadows
  • County Road 96
  • Platte River Road
  • Foxton Road
  • Long Arrow
  • Oehlmann Park
  • Pleasant Park
  • Resort Creek Road
  • Ridge Road
  • Running Deer
  • Silver Ranch Meadow
  • White Hawk Trail

This mail for these addresses only will be held at the Post Office. If customers need their mail, they are encouraged to come to the Conifer Main Post Office at 9546 S. Dallman Rd.

All other mail deliveries out of Conifer will be made unless local authorities disallow access or close roads.

Deliveries out of Pine and Buffalo Creek are not impacted.

Future delivery decisions will be made after consulting with local emergency managers.
