BOULDER – Seven Post Offices have been able to return to their locations, thanks to receding waters and restored access.. However multiple Post Offices and deliveries are still impacted by the widespread flooding and road closures.
Carriers are out in force today, delivering mail across the Front Range, delivering to every address that is accessible. On Monday, more than 7,000 addresses could not be delivered by carriers because of road closures or inaccessibility of mailboxes. This is down from 27,000 on Saturday and 77,000 on Friday.
Many Post Offices have been relocated to other locations because of flood waters or lack of access. However, the mail is available for pickup at alternate locations, which is especially important information for those waiting on medication, checks, and documents.

If a home has been impacted by floodwaters and the resident needs mail to go to a temporary address, fill out a change of address at www.usps.gov or pick up a form at the Post Office.
All other deliveries will be made as long roads remain open, passable and safe. Future decisions will be made after consultation with emergency management officials.
