The Quaker Hill Post Office Offers Family Friendly Passport Hours On Saturday, July 9th

Quaker Hill, CT — The Quaker Hill Post Office will host a Passport Fair on Saturday, July 9, from 12:15 PM to 2:15 PM at the Post Office, located at 132 Old Norwich Road, Quaker Hill, CT. The office will be open to process passport applications only.

The United States Postal Service can accept first time passport applications and offer information for renewals.  With enhanced travel security, passports are the prime accepted identification for travelers. Passport photos will also be available. Both parents are required to be present to issue a passport to a child.  Exceptions may be found at http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports.html.

The Post Office offers these helpful tips for applying for a passport:
►     Fill out the application (DS11), before you come to the post office – but don’t sign it, but USE BLACK INK.
►     Bring proof of US citizenship (provide one of the following)

  •       Previous fully valid U.S. Passport
  •       Certified U.S. birth certificate
  •       Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
  •       Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship

►     Proof of identity (Current, valid driver’s license – Government employee ID – Military ID)
►     Children under age 16, both parents must be present.     
►     Passport clerks can take the photographs for a fee.
