U.S. Postal Service Schedules Public Meeting

On Potential Relocation of Retail Services at Mount Dora, FL, Post Office

TAMPA FL --- The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail services from the Mount Dora, FL, Post Office located at 711 N. Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, FL 32757-9998. If the move is approved, there would be no change to mail delivery. 

Postal officials invite the public to learn more about this project at a public meeting scheduled on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 4:30 p.m., in City Council Chambers, 510 N. Baker Street, Mount Dora, FL  32757-5521.  Representatives from the Postal Service’s Facilities Department will be available to share information and to answer questions at the meeting.

Additionally, for 30 days after the public meeting, written comments may be submitted to the address below for the Postal Service’s consideration prior to its final decision:

A public notice, along with a copy of the Postal Service’s letter to The Honorable Nick Girone, Mayor of Mount Dora, is currently posted at the Mount Dora Post Office.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
