BATON ROUGE — Due to recent flooding, customers in Denham Springs, LA (70726) were directed to pick up their mail at the Baton Rouge Mail Processing Plant, located at 8101 Bluebonnet Road.  As conditions improve, the Postal Service has continued to restore service to all Denham Springs customers, as quickly as possible.

Beginning Thursday, August 25, P.O. Box customers in Denham Springs can pick up their mail and packages at the Denham Springs P.O., located at 140 Del Orleans.  A temporary tent structure will serve as the pickup point for P.O. Box customers. In addition, any customer who receives a “Left Notice” form in their mailbox can pick up items at the same location.

**Customers will no longer need to travel to the Baton Rouge postal facility at 8101 Bluebonnet Road to retrieve their mail.**

P.O. Box pickup service is available each day (7 days a week) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.   Customers must provide a form of photo identification, in order to pick up their P.O. Box mail.  Retail services continue to be available at the same location, via our mobile retail van, where customers can purchase stamps, postage or other services and mail packages or letters.  Retail services are offered six days a week, Monday – Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

As a reminder to residential customers who receive delivery at their homes, the Postal Service will deliver as long as a mail receptacle is present and properly placed. If your mailbox was damaged or knocked down during the recent flooding, please ensure you reinstall the mailbox so we can make delivery.  If you are unable to receive mail at your home or business, you can fill out a Change of Address (COA) form to temporarily forward your mail.  COA forms are available at the mobile retail unit at the Denham Springs Post Office.

We appreciate the patience of our customers, as the Postal Service continues working hard to restore prompt and reliable mail delivery service to all customers.
