Norway Post Office celebrates

Sixty years of serving customers in Norway

Norway, MI — There will be celebration taking place Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Norway Post Office located at 520 Main Street Norway MI 49870.

The celebration is in honor of the sixty years of servicing the community. The public is invited to join in the celebration. 

Postmaster Sheree Smith will give a brief history of the Norway Post Office, along with providing information pertaining to the postal service ‘Then & Now’.  The Norway American Legion, Post 145 will perform flag raising honors and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  Former Post Office employees are expected to be in attendance as well. 

The Post Office was initially established in 1879, and at the current location since the dedication on July 20, 1957.

“Residents are welcome to come”, says Postmaster Smith. “We want them to share in the celebration with us”, she added.

The festivities begin at 1:00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.
