What:

The United States Postal Service is hosting a Job Fair for the position of Maintenance Mechanic at the Michigan Metroplex Processing Center in Pontiac, MI. This is a full-time career position working 40 hours per week at a starting annual salary of $42,615. Benefits include health and life insurance, retirement plan, savings/investment plan with employer contribution, flexible spending, sick leave and paid vacation days. Immediate openings available.

Background:

Applicants must successfully complete the Maintenance Mechanic exam which measures job related knowledge, skills and abilities. This position performs semiskilled preventive, corrective maintenance of various types of mail processing, buildings and building equipment, customer service and delivery equipment. Applicants must also have a valid and safe driving record.
