HATTIESBURG, MS — Hattiesburg Post Offices are open and mail is being delivered. Last night’s tornado caused roof damage at the Main Post Office, 220 South 40th Avenue in Hattiesburg.  The Post Office will close at 5 PM today and will resume normal operating hours (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM) tomorrow.

Post Office boxes are accessible at the Main Post Office and customers with PO Boxes may pick up their mail.

The downtown Post Office at 115 W. Pine in Hattiesburg did not sustain damage and is operating with normal business hours and services.

Mail is being delivered in Hattiesburg where roads are accessible. If roads are too dangerous for travel, mail will be returned to the Post Office. Customers who have damaged or lost mailboxes due to the tornado, or who live on streets that are too dangerous for travel, may pick up their mail at their Post Office with proper identification.
