Columbus Mail Processing Center Has Openings for 200 Holiday Positions

COLUMBUS, OH — The Postal Service is in the process of hiring 200 individuals to fill holiday mail Postal Support Employee (PSE) and Casual Mail Handler positions at in the Columbus Processing and Distribution Center and Annex locations.

A job fair for the positions is being held in the lobby of the Columbus Processing and Distribution Center – 2323 Citygate Drive, Columbus, OH 43218 – on Friday, October 20, 2017, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The job fair is open to all. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins welcome.

Postal Support Employees (PSE) perform a variety of clerk duties required to process mail using automated mail processing equipment or manual methods of sortation and distribution. Casual Mail Handlers perform mail handling, mail processing or a combination of such duties as required.

“Starting salaries for these holiday positions range between $15.00 and $16.62 an hour,” said USPS Field Recruiter Lisa Butts. “A written exam may be required and background checks are performed on applicants.”
