OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The U.S. Postal Service is now accepting applications for a variety of non-career Postal Service positions needed throughout the State of Oklahoma.  The Postal Service plans to fill these positions soon.

Salary for these positions range from $12.00 to $16.61 per hour, with variable work hours and work days, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.  Start time is flexible and successful applicants must be available when called to report to work.  Work hours will vary.

The positions are non-career, some with limited benefits, but most are rewarding career path positions with the full benefits of a federal employee.  Note: Limited benefits for some non-career Postal Service positions include paid vacation days, contractual pay raises, and eligible to enroll in the USPS Non-Career Employee Health Benefits Plan.

Oklahoma Postal Service positions are currently posted online at www.usps.com/employment under the "Search Open Jobs" section. Anyone wishing to apply for a specific job must do so within the Job Posting Period. The Postal Service encourages applicants to check the Postal Service’s employment web page often to keep up with any changes in various position openings.  Postal Service jobs across the state are posted weekly.

All applicants must apply online at www.usps.com/employment. Paper or Emailed Applications for Employment will not be accepted in person or by email. You must have a valid email address to apply for any position.  Communication regarding employment opportunities, examinations, interviews and background checks will be conveyed by email.

For all inquiries related to local hiring, please contact the Postmaster at the Post Office where you want to apply.  All news media inquiries should be directed to Arlene Sanchez (see contact information above).

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
