FOREST GROVE, OR — Following a community meeting and U.S. Postal Service review of all public feedback, the Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate retail services at the Forest Grove Post Office from its current location at 1822 21st Ave. to 2214 Pacific Ave. in Forest Grove. The move became necessary due to ongoing maintenance issues and a loss of lease at the Post Office’s current location.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as are currently provided to customers at the existing location.

If all goes according to schedule, the build-out at the new location should be complete by sometime this winter. The Postal Service plans to continue to offer mail services at the existing Post Office location until the replacement facility is operational.

“This new location will allow us to continue to provide our customers with the best possible service at a tremendous value, which is at the heart of the Postal Service’s mission,” said Forest Grove Postmaster Attila Kiss. “We appreciate our customers’ input and their patience as we work to make the transition into the new location this coming winter.”

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
