2015 MLS Cup collectible envelope

PORTLAND, OR — The Postal Service is offering Portland Timbers fans a unique and inexpensive souvenir that officially celebrates the team’s championship season: 2015 MLS Cup collectible envelopes.

The commemorative envelopes, officially licensed by Major League Soccer and bearing an official Portland postmark, are available now at the following Portland Post Office locations:

  • Portland Main Post Office, 715 NW Hoyt St.
  • Portland Creston Station, 5010 SE Foster Rd.
  • Portland Eastport Retail, 3850 SE 82nd Ave.
  • Portland Multnomah Station, 7805 SW 40th Ave.
  • Portland Rose City Park Station, 2425 NE 50th Ave.
  • Portland Waterfront Station, 101 SW Madison St.
  • Portland West Slope Station, 3225 SW 87th Ave.

“We are thrilled to offer our customers these limited-edition envelopes to celebrate the Timbers bringing the MLS Cup Championship Trophy to Portland,” said Postmaster Shawneen Betha. “These colorful envelopes will be prized by stamp collectors and soccer fans in Portland and around the world as unique mementos of the Timbers’ success.”

The colorful envelopes feature a team photo as well as a picture of the MLS Cup trophy. Each envelope, protected inside a clear plastic sleeve, features a U.S. Flag Forever stamp and official Portland postmark. The price for each collectible envelope is $10.

Also available for $25 is a professionally-matted presentation including a large Timbers team photo combined with the official MLS Cup envelope, suitable for framing.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
