DOUSMAN, WI — For the first and only time this century, Dousman’s Zip Code 53118 will match the date on Thursday, May 31, 2018. This occasion is known in U.S. Postal Service circles as “Date Meets Zip.” The Dousman Post Office, located at 271 N. Main St, is offering a special “Frog” postmark to commemorate the event. 

“We are honored to serve Dousman and be a proud member of this community,” said Dousman Postmaster Shari Leibly.  “We welcome customers to stop by Friday and join us in celebrating this unique event in our town.”

Residents and businesses are invited to bring their own postcards, letters or purchase an envelope from the Dousman Post Office and have it stamped with the commemorative postmark to mark the occasion.  The postmark will be available for 30 days after the event.

The Dousman Post Office will offer refreshments on Friday, May 31 from 10:00am until 12:30 pm.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
