The Postal Service is deeply troubled and extremely disappointed by the recent theft allegations relating to the Operation Santa program. The Postal Service is currently reviewing all of the facts involved with this incident and we will take whatever disciplinary action is warranted. We will also cooperate fully with federal prosecutors. We believe this incident is isolated and should not undermine public trust in the integrity of the Operation Santa program.

For more than 100 years, the Operation Santa program has helped thousands of children and families in need through the generosity of postal employees and volunteers. The Postal Service and our employees plan to continue the proud tradition of responding to those who write to Santa.
