HAVELOCK, IA – The Postal Service resumed Retail and PO Box services at the Havelock, IA Post Office in its new location of 850 Wood Street effective today, January 9, 2019.
Retail Window hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Saturday 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM. The PO Box lobby will be open 24 hours.
The Havelock Post Office was emergency suspended in October 2016 due to environmental safety concerns.
Street delivery will remain out of the Pocahontas Post Office located at 88 Court Square. Retail window hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with an hour lunch closure from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Customers may retrieve their street delivery notice left items during those hours with photo ID.
A customer appreciation event will be planned and announced at a later date.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
