Background:
With an increase in early and online shopping for gifts, there is no longer a “busiest day” for holiday shipping. Instead, the Postal Service’s busiest time is the week of Dec. 17-23. The Postal Service expects to deliver nearly 200 million packages and 3 billion letters this week.
The Royal Oak Post Office is hosting an Open House to greet and assist customers in the retail lobby during the busiest week of the holiday season.
Holiday shipping deadlines are fast approaching:
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
