CHAUNCEY — A Christmas Eve vehicle crash resulted in significant damage to the Chauncey Post Office building located at 23 Sycamore St, Chauncey, OH 45719. As a result, USPS retail services at that location have been temporarily suspended.

Post Office (PO) Boxes located at 23 Sycamore St. are being relocated to the Millfield Post Office, 16099 Main Street, Millfield, OH 45761. Post Office Box mail delivery begins at the new location on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Street mail delivery is unaffected by this change.

Window service hours at the Millfield Post Office have been expanded to 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

No building repair projections are available at this time and no final decision has been made to permanently discontinue or close the Chauncey Post Office.
