Togo’s post advises that flights remain suspended and borders remain closed other than for transport of goods. It has restored some capacity to process mail sent on cargo flights.  However, mail processing is likely to be delayed and postal items are delivered only over post office counters or to post office boxes. Mail processing and delivery times remain impacted. The post has limited transport capacity for outbound mail items due to suspension or cancellation of flights to most countries. Cargo flights operate irregularly and offer only limited capacity for postal items, leading to delays in processing and dispatch of outbound items. Therefore, processing standards cannot be guaranteed.

Togo’s post advises that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, various government measures will impact collection, transmission and delivery of mail. Commercial flights to and from most other countries have been suspended in addition to movement restrictions, curfews and closed land borders. Consequently, the post will no longer be able to fulfil its obligations in terms of mail processing standards, or guarantee quality of service for mail items, until the situation returns to normal. It is therefore declaring a case of force majeure for all categories of inbound and outbound mail although it will carry on providing postal services as possible.
