NATIONAL PCC DAY INNOVATION AND GROWTH IDEAS

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS OCT. 29

We have had a great reaction to National PCC Day, especially to Postmaster General John Potter’s keynote address and call for innovation. If you didn’t see it on Wednesday, go to http://www.uspstv.com/PCC_video/PCC_video_keynote.html to view his keynote, which reaffirmed our balanced plan of action and gave an update on our progress.

Potter asked the audience for innovation and growth ideas that can help ensure a profitable future for the mailing industry and USPS. Though the deadline for submission is Oct. 29, several PCCs already have held their sessions and submitted their top three ideas. Other PCCs have scheduled innovation sessions for their members.

If you have not done so already, we urge you to schedule a PCC innovation session and submit your top three innovation and growth ideas by using the PCC Best Practice submission form found at http://www.usps.com/nationalpcc/html/ BestPractices.htm.

We will update you on timelines and next steps concerning your innovation and growth idea submissions and hold a special session at the National Postal Forum in San Diego, May 1-4, 2011.
