Handbook F-101 Revision: Field Accounting Procedures

Effective immediately, Handbook F-101, Field Account­ing Procedures, is revised with version January 2009. An Update Notice at the beginning of Handbook F-101 pro­vides field users with a comprehensive list of changes and updates incorporated into the handbook.

The Update Notice details the types of changes using the following categories:

n Addition — New information or procedures added.

n Deletion — Outdated information or procedures deleted.

n Content Change — Modified or replaced current information or procedures.

n Clarification — Reworded information or procedures for better understanding.

n Correction — Revised misstated information or procedures.

By following the standardized procedures contained in Handbook F-101 (January 2009), Postal Service™ employ­ees can perform financial transactions efficiently while cre­ating consistent and accurate financial data.

The January 2009 version of Handbook F-101 replaces all previous versions. Field users that have hard copies of prior versions of Handbook F-101 should update them accordingly.
