Digital Color Postmarks

Digital Color Postmarks (DCPs), introduced in 2005, with a world-wide patent held by USPS®, are only available through Stamp Fulfillment Services (SFS). Field offices may not create, develop, or use digital color postmarks.

DCPs are only available on first day of issuance for specified stamp issues. These postmarks may be obtained at The Postal Store® website at www.usps.com/shop, through the USA Philatelic catalog, at some USPS retail locations, and through the USPS subscription programs at 800-STAMP-24 (800-782-6724).

For additional information on DCPs, contact SFS Cancellations Services at 816-545-1349, or see Handbook PO–230, Pictorial Postmarks, subchapter 7-2.
