IMM Revision: Labeling Changes for International Priority Airmail and International Surface Air Lift Services

Effective July 1, 2009, the Postal Service™ revised Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) Exhibits 292.462 and 293.462 to reflect Postal Service operational changes.

International Priority Airmail™ (IPA®) and International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®) mailings for certain origin ZIP™ Codes that were previously dispatched to Airmail Center Seattle are now dispatched to the Seattle Processing and Distribution Center. Accordingly, in Exhibits 292.462 and 293.462, we’ve revised mailer labeling information for the “The U.S. Exchange Office and Routing Code for Line 1” column from “AMC Seattle WA 980” to “P&DC Seattle 980.”

We have incorporated these revisions into the July 1, 2009, monthly update of the online IMM, which is available via Postal Explorer® at http://pe.usps.com, and we will incorporate these revisions into the next printed version of the IMM.
