Publication 108, Threat Assessment Team Guide, Has Been Revised

We have revised Publication 108, Threat Assessment Team Guide. This publication sets forth requirements and guidelines to enhance the effectiveness of threat assess­ment teams and ensure consistency throughout the Postal Service™. The April 2010 edition supersedes the March 2007 edition. Recycle or destroy all previous editions. Changes include the following:

n Updating the threat assessment team (TAT) to consist of the following core members:

n Human Resources manager.

n Labor Relations manager.

n Safety manager.

n District manager or operations designee.

n Senior plant manager or operations designee.

n Changing the role of the occupational health nurse administrator position from a TAT core member to an ad hoc member.

n Eliminating the workplace environment analyst posi­tion as a TAT core member.

n Updating the steps in the Incident Response section to facilitate TAT action.

n Changing the compliance measures to clarify TAT requirements.

We will send a copy of Publication 108 to each area and district Human Resources manager.

Publication 108 will also be available on the Postal Ser­vice Intranet (Blue page). As soon as it is online, we will publish a notice in the Postal Bulletin.
