Revised Publication 542, Understanding the Private Express Statutes

The revised edition of Publication 542, Understanding the Private Express Statutes, is available on both the inter­nal and external websites.

Publication 542 (May 2010) describes changes resulting from the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006 (Public Law 109-435). It also reflects the amendment of Title 39, Code of Federal Regulations, parts 310 and 320 (39 CFR 310 and 320) to correct the addresses for inquiries and other correspondence regarding the enforcement of the Private Express Statutes, as published in a final rule in the Federal Register (75 Federal Register 12123, March 15, 2010).
