Effective immediately, PS Form 2574, Resignation/Transfer From the Postal Service, is revised. The December 2010 edition replaces all previous editions, which are obsolete and must be discarded or recycled. The form is changed as follows:
n The title is changed to Resignation/Transfer From the Postal Service.
n The instructions have been updated.
n The Employee Identification Number (EIN) replaces the Social Security number.
n The Privacy Act Statement has been updated.
n The “Reason for Action” includes definitions for Resignation and Separation/Transfer, and a check box to indicate “separation/transfer to another federal agency.”
n Space is added for the manager/supervisor to sign and date to indicate receipt.
n Information about how to withdraw a resignation is provided.
