IMM Revision: New Effective Date for Mail Preparation Changes to International Priority Airmail and International Surface Air Lift Mail Services

The article “IMM Revision: Mail Preparation Changes to International Priority Airmail and International Surface Air Lift Mail Services” in Postal Bulletin 22302 (1-13-11, pages 5–10) noted that the effective date of the revisions would be March 27, 2011. However, due to revised publication dates for Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®), the effective date for the revisions noted in that article will be April 17, 2011.

Also, because of the addition of section 293.47 — as noted on page 7 in this issue of the Postal Bulletin in the article titled “IMM Revision: Mail Preparation to Canada for International Priority Airmail and International Surface Air Lift Mail Services” — the cross-reference for the Canada entry in Exhibit 293.452 will be “293.47” (rather than “292.47” as noted in the article in 1-13-11).

All the other revision information in the article from 1-13-11 remains the same.
