ASM Revision: Audits and Investigations

Effective September 29, 2016, the Postal Service™ is revising the Administrative Support Manual (ASM) to ensure a full and intelligent release by applicants with regards to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The Inspection Service is implementing changes to the ASM sections related to Personnel Security Clearances. The summary of the changes is the inclusion of PS Form 2181–D, Disclosure and Release for Consumer Reports, in the processing requirements for background investigations.
