Effective January 22, 2017, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), section 207.4.11.3, to specifically allow a publisher to place the identification statement on the cover of a publication. This clarification confirms that this additional design option does not affect mail verification, processing, or delivery.
Although this clarification will not be published in the DMM until January 22, 2017, this revision is effective immediately.
