DMM Revision: Parcel Return Service Pickup Schedule

Effective May 1, 2017, the Postal Service will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), section 505.4.2.9, to add the pickup schedule for a permit holder or his or her agent to retrieve parcels at a Parcel Return Service — Return Delivery Unit (RDU).

Parcel Return Service requires a permit holder or his or her agent to retrieve parcels on a regular schedule. The required schedule for RDU pickup will be a minimum of every 48 hours. For consistency, we will also make a minor revision to Parcel Return Service — Return Sectional Center Facility (RSCF).
