SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
All reagents shipments should have a Themometer inside the packaging (box), showing the average temperature for the package during the shipping process. The themometer has to be activated at the time of shipping.
All Mobile phones undervalued will be re-assessed by Customs and is subject to penalities in addition to clearance delays.
An advancement fee of Saudi Riyals 100 (approximately $27 US) or 2% of the duty amount advanced whichever is greater is charged to Saudi Arabia recipient applicable for the duties/taxes marked as bill recipient.
Customs Bayan (Bill of Entry) charges of SR20 (approximately $5.43 US) is involved on the dutiable shipments.
Dhahran: 1 mobile allowed, a legalized original Certificate of Origin is required regardless of value and duty free entry if the declared value is below $100 US.
Electronics (especially Mobile Phones) should have Country of Manufacture clearly marked/engraved on the products. Any under valued shipment will be re-assessed by Customs and are subject to penalties in addition to clearance delays.
Laptops/Desktops for commercial use require a legalized Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoice and Conformity Certificate in Jeddah and for other clearance ports based on the value threshold as mentioned under clearance information.
Mobile phones into Saudi (Personal shipment): Riyadh: up to 2 mobile phones are duty free entry and no Certificate of Origin is required. If exceeds this limit, the requirements are the same as for commercial.
Printer cartridges require import permit from Ministry of Interior or Ministry of Trade.
A Certificate of Conformity is required for certain commodities at the origin, regardless of the value and quantity. Genuine samples with limited quantity, items for laboratory testing and temporary import do not require a Certificate of Conformity. For detailed information, please visit http://www.customs.gov.sa. Certificate of Conformity eligibility is identified strictly through the Harmonized Code and shippers required to obtain the same from an authorized agent such as Intertek and SGS prior to move the shipments.
Any shipment containing jewelry for commercial use is prohibited.
GXG will accepts shipments of Israeli origin. However, this country may not allow such imports.
Mobile Phones into Saudi (Commercial purpose): Riyadh and Dharan: Customs requires an original legalized Certificate Of Origin with the shipments, regardless of value and quantity.
No shipment is to be accepted unless a telephone number or valid fax number is included.
Shipments destined for anyone at an Embassy are regarded as diplomatic shipments and Saudi Customs can only clear when they receive an original letter from the recipient or Embassy. If the shipment is not a document, a letter from the ministry of foreign affairs is required. Please note that this may take an additional ten (10) days to clear.
Shipments for government and military offices must bear the contact name, telephone number and telephone extension. Without this information the guard will not accept the package.
Shipments that are incorrectly declared will not be accepted. They will be confiscated and/or returned to the shipper. All related costs for destroy or return will be charged to the shipper.
Shipments that do not clear Customs (due to any reason) will be confiscated or returned to shipper; billing all related charges to the shippers account. Destroy requests from shipper/recipient cannot be entertained. Customs is not equipped with destroy facilities.
Shipments to Jeddah require a Commercial Registration copy from the recipient. The activity mentioned in the Commercial Registration must correspond to the goods shipped.
