The Postal Service is a federal leader in accounting for our greenhouse gas emissions. We’ve been reporting emissions since 2007. Our goal is to reduce emissions 20% from the 2008 baseline by 2020.

The Postal Service is also examining short and long term changes in the climate to ensure that we invest resources wisely to maintain our mission of binding the nation together through the mail.
