Jo Ann Feindt was named vice president, Area Operations for the Southern Area in January 2012. Reporting to the chief operating officer and executive vice president, Feindt in this role is responsible for all postal operations — including mail processing and distribution, customer service and administrative operations – in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and portions of Georgia and South Carolina.
Prior to being named vice president, Area Operations, Southern Area, Feindt served as vice president, Area Operations, Great Lakes Area. In that capacity, she was the senior postal official in a territory that encompasses most of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Missouri, and was responsible for all postal operations, including mail processing and distribution, delivery, retail and administrative operations.
A 33-year postal veteran, Feindt began her career with the Postal Service in 1979 as a distribution clerk in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since then, she has served in a wide range of positions, including district manager, Customer Service and Sales for the South Florida district; supervisor, Delivery and Collections; manager, Quality Control; manager, Operations Services; and manager In-plant Support.
Feindt studied business administration at Broward Community College in Florida and Barry University.
