Kelly M. Sigmon was named vice president, Retail and Customer Service Operations in August 2014. She is responsible for the optimization of a retail network and customer service operations that improves customer experience, maximizes retail revenue, and drives operational efficiency. She was responsible for the development and implementation of Retail Strategy for the Postal Service. She reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President.
In addition, she oversees the integration of strategy, technology and corporate policies and procedures. The department manages retail postal operations, retail partnerships, and Post Office distribution operations. Prior to this, Kelly also served as the Vice President, Retail Channel Operations.
During her tenure with the Postal Service, Kelly served in several vice president roles. As vice president, Channel Access, she oversaw the development and implementation of the retail consumer strategy and channels. As the vice president, Engineering, she managed the support and development efforts for internal operational systems. She has also served in various other operational and support capacities. Kelly was the District Manager for the Southeast Michigan District, where she was responsible for Postal Service operations involving two processing and distribution centers and 124 Post Offices encompassing the eastern side of Michigan. She oversaw the activation and implementation of the Michigan Metroplex Processing and Distribution Center.
Kelly is a graduate of the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. She also earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
