U.S. Postal Service to Hold Public Meeting in Oil Trough, June 28

Meeting to discuss potential new postal retail services for the Rosie Post Office

ROSIE, AR — The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail services that were provided from the Rosie Post Office, 39 Capshaw Rd., Rosie, AR 72571, to a new, yet-to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the existing Post Office location in order to better serve postal customers in the community.

The U.S. Postal Service will be hosting a public meeting at 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Oil Trough Community Center, located at 50 Main St., Oil Trough, AR 72564.  Officials with the Postal Service’s Facilities Department will be there to share information and answer questions.

Postal customers, including those unable to attend the June 28 meeting, may submit written comments to the following address:

The Postal Service will consider all comments prior to making its final decision.  All comments and recommendations received by July 30, 2018, will be considered. 

A public notice, along with a copy of the Postal Service’s letter to Justice of the Peace Brad Covington, is currently posted in the community.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
