Background:

The National Safety Council (NSC) and U.S. Postal Service Washington, D.C., headquarters are working together to reward drivers who deliver on safety every day. The NSC Safe Driver Awards program is a Member-Exclusive, non-competitive, self-administered program designed to help organizations recognize and motivate the safe driving performance of individuals.

By motivating and rewarding drivers, USPS helps decrease motor related incidents and deaths, ensuring that they will return home safely to their families at the end of the day. Keeping safety in the forefront of their minds will allow them to employ best practices and good decision-making while on the road for both business and personal activities.

The Million Mile Award Plaque recognizes drivers with 1 million miles of driving or 30 accumulated years driven without a preventable incident. This 6 3/4" x 9 3/4" solid walnut plaque bears the Million Mile Club emblem, the NSC logo and an engraved personalized nameplate.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
