Public Meeting February 5 on Proposed Relocation of Roseville Vernon Retail Station

ROSEVILLE, CA – The United States Postal Service is considering relocating the retail services currently provided at Roseville Vernon Retail Station, located at 330 Vernon St., Roseville, CA 95678, to a yet to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the existing location.

The Postal Service is considering relocation because the lease on the property expires soon. The city of Roseville owns the building and has entered into a purchase and sale agreement with a developer, who has plans to redevelop the site. Lease renewal is not an option at this time. The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, preparing the new location for use as a post office and then transitioning the retail services to the new location. The Postal Service has not identified any suitable replacement locations at this time. There would be no impact to delivery operations or mail service.

A public meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Roseville Vernon Retail Station, 330 Vernon St., Roseville, CA 95678.

At the public meeting, the Postal Service will outline the proposal to meet the need for relocation, invite questions and solicit written input on the proposal.
