Help USPS Deliver: Clear Debris around Mailbox

Jacksonville, FL --- The Gulf Atlantic District is asking for assistance from postal customers to provide uninterrupted mail service to residents in the wake of Hurricane Sally.

The accumulation of debris around mail receptacles can cause delays in delivery, and in some areas, contractors removing the debris are taking mail receptacles along with the debris. Residents are urged to pile away debris from their mailboxes.

Residents who placed their mail on hold for 30 days or filed a temporary Change of Address due to Hurricane Sally must replace their damaged mail receptacles. When their mailbox has been replaced, customers must call 800-ASK-USPS (275-8777) to reinstate delivery.
