THE SNOW IS HERE AGAIN (AND AGAIN AND AGAIN)

Please help your letter carrier today by delivering a safe, clear path

Snow again

NORTHERN OHIO — The recent snowstorms that have blanketed the area and have created challenges in communities throughout Northern Ohio, including routine delivery of the mail.

With mail order prescription medicines, Social Security, retirement and other important supplemental income checks entering the mail stream, Northern Ohio postal managers are asking for the public’s help in keeping sidewalks, pathways, approaches to and egress from mailboxes free of snow and ice so postal letter carriers can safely deliver the mail.

“Keeping mailboxes and surrounding areas clear will prevent injuries and let our employees provide the best possible service, even in the worst conditions,” says the Postal Service’s Northern Ohio District Manager Sharon Young.

“We all owe it to our families, our neighbors, and the letter carriers to make sure our properties are safe and accessible.”

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
