The United States Postal Service will present this proposal during a 5:00 p.m. meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at the Jenner Municipal Building’s meeting room, at 2058 Lincoln Hwy, Boswell, PA 15531.

Written comments on the proposal will be accepted for 30 days following the meeting and may be submitted to:

David Wolff, Real Estate Specialist

As a self-supporting government agency that receives no tax dollars for its operating expenses, the Postal Service must rely on the sale of postage, products and services to generate revenue. Despite significant cost reductions, the Postal Service continues to experience a net loss due to declining mail volumes. Faced with unsustainable deficits, the Postal Service is required to find ways to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and sustain its viability.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
