Hurricane Dorian begins to move away

After a destructive march up the Eastern Seaboard, Hurricane Dorian is heading farther offshore. The storm made landfall in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, battering coastal areas with powerful winds and a dangerous storm surge. As the hurricane makes its exit, the Postal Service continues to monitor conditions for the safety of our customers and employees, and the security of mail.

Service disruptions

Residential customers and small businesses can learn if mail is being delivered, or if their Post Offices are open. Business mailers get more detailed information about USPS mail processing facilities, and the operating status of delivery units, as well as any impacts on mail delivery overseas.
