ETHICS HELP DID YOU KNOW… that the ethics laws do not allow postal employees to use their position, postal property, time, or resources for any purpose other than postal business. Here are some examples of how an employee could run afoul of the ethics laws: - by using a postal vehicle to run a personal errand, - by using a government gas or travel credit card for personal use, - by borrowing money from a postal cash drawer, - by selling outside products or running a side business while at work, - by referring postal customers to a former postal employee’s new business. Contact the Ethics Helpline at (202) 268-6346, or send an email to ethics.help@usps.gov, if you have any questions or need more information on this or any other ethics-related matter.
