REVOCATION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER 11246: EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Suppliers please read this official announcement from Mark Guilfoil, Vice President, Supply Management   regarding the revocation of Executive Order 11246: Equal Employment Opportunity.

POSTAL SERVICE SUPPLIERS 
SUBJECT: Revocation of Executive Order 11246: Equal Employment Opportunity 
Due to the President’s revocation of Executive Order 11246: Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended, and in accordance with 39 CFR 211.3(b), the United States Postal Service (USPS) is issuing this notice to all USPS suppliers regarding the effect of this revocation on Postal Service procurement contracts and open solicitations. 
The following clauses, provisions, and additional items specified are hereby obsolete, effective Jan. 21, 2025: 
Section 7-8, Equal Employment Opportunity, of the Supplying Principles and Practices 
• Clause 9-7: Equal Opportunity 
• Clause 9-8: Affirmative Action Compliance Requirements for Construction 
• Clause 9-9: Equal Opportunity Preaward Compliance of Subcontracts 
• Paragraphs d. and f. of Provision 4-3: Representations and Certifications 
• Provision 9-1: Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Program 
• Provision 9-2: Preaward Equal Opportunity Compliance Review 
• Provision 9-3: Notice of Requirements for Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action 
Therefore, and in accordance with my authority under 39 CFR 601.104, these clauses, provisions, and items are hereby void and will no longer be enforced in any current USPS procurement contracts or solicitations effective Jan. 21, 2025. 
You may contact your contracting officer if you have any questions regarding a specific contract or solicitation.
