Valley Post Offices Commemorate Super Bowl XLIX
with Limited-Edition Collectible Envelopes
GLENDALE, AZ – The Postal Service is offering football fans a unique and inexpensive souvenir that officially marks the Valley of the Sun’s third Super Bowl: Super Bowl XLIX commemorative envelopes.
The collectible envelopes, officially licensed by the National Football League and bearing the official Glendale postmark, will be available at several Post Office locations around the Valley, starting Friday, Jan. 30. (A listing of Post Office locations is provided below.)
“We are thrilled to offer our customers these limited-edition envelopes to celebrate the Super Bowl’s return to our city,” said Glendale Postmaster Billy Garrett. “These colorful envelopes will be prized by stamp collectors and football fans around the country as unique mementos of this exciting Super Bowl matchup between New England and Seattle.”
The colorful envelopes being sold at valley Post Offices are available in two designs: One features photos of each team’s starting quarterback (Tom Brady and Russell Wilson). The other envelope depicts the NFL’s Vince Lombardi Trophy and the official Super Bowl XLIX logo with a photo of the Grand Canyon as its backdrop. Each envelope, protected inside a clear plastic sleeve, features a U.S. Flag Forever stamp and official Glendale postmark. The price for each collectible envelope is $7.50.
Also available for $25 is matted artwork combined with the official Super Bowl envelopes. Customers can choose from a large photo of either quarterback in the professionally-matted presentation.
All of these affordable souvenirs, as well as a championship envelope, are available via mail order while supplies last. Details and an order form are available online at:
